CIHA National Inline Hockey Championship
"Canada Inline Cup 2001"
The Canadian Inline Hockey Association (CIHA) National Inline Hockey Championship ( "Canada Inline Cup"), will he hosted in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Aug.10 - 12, 2001 at the Saskatoon Soccer Center. The Soccer Center boast three Sport Court rinks under one roof with viewing of all three rinks from above. Twelve dressing rooms, 160 seat restaurant & licensed lounge and arcade room will provide an atmosphere for the best Canadian National Inline Hockey Championship to date!
CIHA understands the importance of planning and budgeting to attend this type of event for all our teams across the country. We realize waiting to see if you qualify from your own Provincial or Regional tournament puts added pressure and a heroic effort to make the proper arrangements after the Provincial/Regional events.
The entry and qualifications for all CIHA teams to attend the Nationals has changed for 2001 to accommodate the planning and budgeting requirements for our community based rep. teams. Your team no longer has to win or place second at the Provincial or Regional Tournament to attend the Nationals.
All CIHA sanctioned teams can now register to attend and compete for the National Championship, without waiting for the results from your Provincial/Regional Tournament. All CIHA teams can register now to attend the Nationals, to see who will be the best community based team in the country!.
Criteria:
Teams must attend a Provincial / Regional event ( these events will be used to rank teams only). Provided you are planning on attending the Provincial or Regional event you can now register your team for the Nationals.
2. Teams will not be provided entry to the Nationals without attending at least one CIHA approved tournament.
The Provincial/Regional Tournaments are events of their own and will provide the opportunity to crown the Provincial or Regional Champions for all age divisions at both AAA (Competitive) and AA (Challenger).
Will some teams have the ultimate bragging rights as Provincial/Regional Champions and National Champions? Or will a team peak at the right moment in time and capture the National title without being a Provincial/Regional Champion?
There will be no restriction to the number of entries from any region (but there is limited space) and all CIHA teams can now register for the Canada Inline Cup -- Canada's National Inline Hockey Championship!
Both AAA (Competitive) and AA (Challenger) level divisions will be offered at the Nationals.
Divisions for the Nationals:
AAA and AA Levels:
Tyke - 8 & Under
Novice - 10 & Under
Atom - 12 & Under
Peewee - 14 & Under
