Team Canada 18U National team
began
play Thursday at the FIRS World Junior
Inline Cup, in West Palm Beach Florida.
The 18U National squad from Canada was
selected from the Provincial teams
competing at the 2002 Global Inline
Hockey Festival. Players from the 18U
and 16U Provincial teams were eligible
for selection.
Canada opened the event with wins of 7-
0 over Mexico and 13-0 over Taiwan. In
game one against Mexico Wes Kropf of
Skakespeare, Ontario (playing out of
Woodstock Inline League), was named MVP
of the game. In game two against
Taiwan, Paul McILveen of Waterloo,
Ontario (Kitchener-Waterloo Inline
League), was named MVP.
